Hemos trabajado el tema de "Machines".
INPUT MACHINES
Machines are devices invented by humans to make our work
easier.
There are two kinds of mavchines: simple and compound.
SIMPLE MACHINES
The most basic machinesare called
simple machines, such as the lever, the
inclined plane and the pulley.
· * The
lever: It is a rigid bar with a fulcrum. Levers make it easier to lift
heavy objects.
· * The
inclined plane: It is a ramp used to move heavy objects up or down.
· * The
pulley: Pulleys have a rope that passes over a grooved wheel. We use
pulleys to lift or lower objects. We pull on the rope to lift the object and we
release the rope to lower the object.
COMPOUND MACHINES
Compound machines are made up of
various elements, which include simple machines.
These machines can be very basic,
such as a gear or a pair of pliers, or more complex like a bicycle.
· * Gears:
gears consist of several Wheel with teeth on the edge. The teeth on one Wheel
fi tinto the grooves on another.
· * Pliers:
A pair of pliers consist of two connected levers that pivot at a common
fulcrum.
